Wishing Well by Nevma Wishing Well by Nevma
In western Texas, water doesn't often come from above, so we use the sky to pull it from the ground.

Seminole Canyon State Park, Texas. November, 2010

Canon F-1N, 50mm 1:1.2 lens
Fujifilm 200, scanned from negative on a CanoScan 8600F
Post processing in Photoshop CS3

I used CS3 to edit out some dust and scratches from the negative, and deepen the colors slightly. The granularity in the sky is due to the film.

Thanks! :)

Hah! Texas is definitely mostly desert and mostly flat. But there are small corners of life and beauty. I like finding those spots. :)

Hey, I live a little east of San Antonio. We're practically neighbors! I agree the flowers are spectacular, although this year they were a bit wanting. WE NEED MOAR RAIN!!!

Yes we are.. and yes we do!!!! lol My garden is like....dying....it's so sad. Everything is wilted =( The water I give them from the tap keeps them alive but that's about it..

Yep. It's sad. I planted some trees earlier this spring. I hope they make it.

Ahh well I'm sure they will make it. :3 Trees can be pretty resilient at times... just gotta make sure they're drought resistant.
